Meghan Markle's memoir wouldn't be as 'interesting' as Harry's, friend confesses
A royal author has claimed should Meghan Markle decide to write a memoir, it wouldn’t be as “interesting” as her husband, Prince Harry’s.
Omid Scobie, who recently released his new book Endgame, placed the current state of the British monarchy under a microscope. But he has now said he doesn’t believe a Meghan Markle memoir would be “interesting” as she is more “curated” than her husband. There have been rumors the Duchess is eyeing up opportunities to put her life down on paper in her own words. Ever since Harry signed a four-book deal with Random House, experts have been teasing the mom-of-two may be next to write about her past. Although Meghan Markle’s memoir is just hearsay right now, there are doubts.

Meghan Markle’s memoir wouldn’t be ‘interesting’
In an interview with Newsweek, Scobie explained he believes Prince Harry’s memoir Spare worked well because the 39-year-old has “always” been “very candid”. But he went further to say Meghan’s image was much more “curated”.
He said for a memoir to work, Meghan, 42, would have to be “completely human” and “gain the respect of your reader.”
“To gain the respect of the reader, you have to be completely human in your portrayal, transparent in your portrayal of yourself,” said the royal writer.

“It has to be candid, it has to be embarrassing in places, it has to be all of these things to be the true portrait of a human being rather than the varnished image of a public figure that wants to be seen in a certain way.
“And it’s why I think his [Harry’s] book would always be more interesting than say if Megan wrote a memoir, because I think Megan has a much more curated take on what her image is and how it should be. Harry has always been a very candid, candid man.”
Scobie’s new book was a bombshell in the royal realm
Despite saying Meghan Markle’s potential memoir would be ‘uninteresting’ Scobie’s latest book has gained some controversy. It comes after the Dutch version was rumored to name two people who allegedly had concerns about the couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet.
However, Scobie defended his book. He explained he “doesn’t speak” Dutch and he only wrote and edited the English version.
He explained: “The book is in several languages, and unfortunately I do not speak Dutch. But if there are translation errors, I’m sure the publishers will have it under control.”
He later clarified that there had “never been no version that I’ve produced that has names in it.”
A translator who worked on the piece later came out to say she was given a draft copy with the two names.
Harry and Meghan ‘belong’ on Big Brother
It comes after a royal commentator claims Harry and Meghan “belong” on reality TV, never mind writing memoirs.
Speaking on Sky News Australia, columnist Louise Roberts gave her take on the duo.
She said: “[public opinion is] that the pair of them belong on Big Brother. I mean they’ve been accused of having a very sort of low rent, bad strategy to publicity befitting of a royal status, or even someone who’s left The Firm in recent years as well.”
She continued speaking about the couple’s ventures with companies such as Netflix.
“You know, they had such a golden opportunity to build a royal court as it were in Hollywood itself and they’ve just blown it up,” she added.
“They’ve blown it up with this insistence on attacking their family ostracizing their children from their cousins, and all of the attacks on the family so it’s a very, very, very strange strategy.”
